Why We're Here

• There are more than 7.2 million Americans who have disabilities, 3 out of every 100 people. In Columbia County, 3% of the population is involved.
• 100,000 more children born this year will be diagnosed with developmental disabilities.
• 613,000 children ages 6-21 have some level of a developmental disability.
• 50% of all developmental disabilities are preventable.
• We exist because people with developmental disabilities need help to ensure that their rights as citizens of this country are protected.
